Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is a process that can help people make meaningful change. While no one can guarantee results, Dr. Yomtoob works to create a safe environment where his clients can discuss real life issues and make life-enhancing decisions. Dr. Yomtoob tailors his intervention to meet each person’s unique needs based on their unique experiences, worldview, and values. At the same time, he challenges clients to examine and change familiar habits and thought patterns and to make meaningful change. People seek individual therapy for many reasons including:

  • Symptoms of Anxiety and Depression

  • Low Self Esteem

  • Substance Abuse and other Addictions

  • LGBTQ Identity

  • Intimacy Problems

  • Coping with trauma and family of origin issues

  • Grief and loss

  • Coping with Stress

  • Anger management

  • Men’s Issues

Dr. Yomtoob considers his work the meeting of two minds. You are the expert on you and your unique life experiences.  He is the expert in clinical psychology. Together, we will collaborate through unique and interesting conversations.  We will examine the intricacies of your life and uncover the thoughts, habits and emotional blocks that perpetuate your problems. By highlighting your individual strengths and values, as well as encouraging creativity, we can come up with a plan of action to create the life you want.

In order to do that, expect to speak about your life, family and culture in our first sessions and throughout. This will help ground the conversation to your unique needs, and you may learn something about the implicit forces that have shaped your life.

Respect, confidentiality and sensitivity are assured.  Some insurance accepted.  Sliding Scale is available. Please contact Dr. Yomtoob to learn more or for a brief 20-30 minute “Meet The Therapist” call.
